Saint John, USVI

MOST OF ST JOHN IS NATIONAL PARK. There are excellent anchorages on the North and South sides of the island. Cruz Bay has some of the best shops in the Caribbean. There is a variety of restaurants from fancy gourmet to ethic mix, Italian, Tex Mex, Pizza and pubs galore. Take your pick. The town is tiny and most places are no more than a block off the waterfront.
 
Leinster Bay is a well protected anchorage with great snorkeling around Waterlemon Cay. The Annaberg Ruins are of historical and cultural interest. Caneel, Maho, and Francis Bays are also beautiful spots on the north side as long as the north swell is not up. On the south side, visit Salt Pond or Lameshur Bays, Hurricane Hole, or Coral Bay.

Jost Van Dyke

Known for the World famous Foxy's Bar, Jost Van Dyke is a favorite stop for yachties. You will find beautiful beaches and vibrant beach bars.

Named for an early Dutch settler and former pirate, Jost Van Dyke runs deep with rugged scenery and colorful folklore. Explore vegetation-covered sugar mill ruins, old trails that crisscross the island and the East End’s natural sea-formed Jacuzzi, or observe whales and dolphins.

Snorkel and swim at Green Cay or Sandy Cay right off Jost. These little islands are the ones you dream about  with white sands and a few palms for shade, and a perfect lunch stop on your way to Cane Garden Bay or points further east.

Tortola

Powdery white-sand beaches, lush green mountains, and sheltered, yacht-filled harbours characterize the island of Tortola, the BVI’s largest and capital island.

Swim or stroll the secluded palm-shaded white sands of dozens of beaches, including Apple Bay, Brewer’s Bay, Smuggler’s Cove, Long Bay Beach, Elizabeth Beach and Josiah’s Bay Beach to name just a few.

On the south side, you may spend a night in Fat Hogs Bay. There's a good grocery store, a marine store, and dive shop. On the north side of the island, a stop at Cane Garden Bay is always fun. 

Heading east you'll pass Guana Island, and Monkey Point (a great lunch and snorkel spot). Plan to spend a night at Trellis Bay  If you don't stop in Trellis Bay, head to Marina Cay where there is a lively Pusser's Restaurant, or just across on Scrub Island, you'll find quieter dining.

NORTH OF TORTOLA
Heading east along the north side of Tortola you'll pass Guana Island and Monkey Point (a great lunch and snorkel spot). Plan to spend a night at Trellis Bay off Beef Island.

A great option for a night in a marina to refresh the crew, provisions, water supply etc. Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor is a lovely facility with shops and casual dining in the marina.

Explore the famous Baths for a swim and snorkel with it exotic pools and grottos formed by giant boulders strewn across sand beaches.

Cooper Island

Salt Island

THE WRECK  OF THE RHONE lies off Salt Island and has been a favorite of divers for decades. The Cool Breeze crew can arrange "Rendezvous Diving". This means you schedule a dive and a dive team will meet you at the boat with all necessary gear and facilitate the dive.  Salt Island is well known for "salt". You'll find it in several shops throughout the BVI, and it is truly a unique and natural souvenir.

Norman Island

PUBLIC MOORINGS: The Bight, Privateer Bay

RUMORED TO BE THE "TREASURE  ISLAND" of Robinson Crusoe fame, The Bight is a favorite stopover. 

Snorkel the caves on Norman, a unique spot and favorite of pelicans. The Indians (a great day-time stop) not too far away, offer great snorkeling and diving. You'll see some spectacular views of St John from this location and a dramatic view up the Sir Francis Drake Channel.

Saint Thomas, USVI

ST THOMAS is a great starting point for your charter in U.S. and British Virgins. Cool Breeze's home marina is American Yacht Harbor Marina near Red Hook where you will find a wide variety of restaurants and shops to acquire any last minute necessities. Spend a night on the dock or anchored nearby to enjoy the sights and sounds of this active Caribbean port. Some of the largest cruise ships in the world, the wildest party boats, and most elegant mega-yachts are all part of the local scenery. 
 
Water Island, the "4th Virgin", is close by and has a pleasant anchorage at Honeymoon Bay. There's a quiet swimming beach and for the more active, the island is great for walking, jogging and running, since there is no commercial traffic and only small paved roads.

Anegada

The only coral island in the Virgin Islands’ volcanic chain, Anegada is characterized by its nearly flat elevation, the striking coral reefs that surround it, secluded sandy beaches and clear springs bubbling from coral beds. 

A variety of wildlife special to the Virgin Islands area thrive on Anegada, including loblolly, frangipani, turpentine trees, feathery sea lavender and wild orchids. On the nature trail at Bones Bight, catch a glimpse of the rare rock iguanas native to the island, or discover the exotic birds at Nutmeg Point.

Snorkelers and scuba divers will delight in the reef’s mazes, tunnels and drops, which are rich in needle fish, bonefish, stingrays, parrot fish and other marine life, while those with sea legs will enjoy water sports, sport fishing and bone fishing. Beachgoers will find no lack of calm and quiet shores, including Cow Wreck Beach, Flash of Beauty, Bones Bight and Windlass Bight. 

Discover Anegada’s history through a maze of stone walls that surround the Main Town’s Settlement or the Arawak’s ancient conch mounds in the East End. Or, explore the wreckages of numerous Spanish galleons, American privateers and British Galleons.
